But not only nature lovers will enjoy the area around Muenstertal. By car you need only few minutes from our apartment to “the city of Faust” Staufen, where the famous alchemist, astrologer and magician Dr. Faustus is said to have lived, worked and died. The famous city Freiburg is also close to the FeWo Umlauf. Freiburg got second place of the most attractive cities in Baden- Württemberg in the "City Brand Atlas 2014".

The traditional farms and timbered houses with their typical hip roofs are settled calmly into the pure nature surrounding the village. Freiburg is located at the Breisgau region on the western edge of the Black Forest in the Upper Rhine Plain. With an population of about 230.000 people it is the biggest city close to our holiday apartment. The city is known for its medieval minster and Renaissance university.
